Chef - Dan Graham, The Wentworth Restaurant at the Talbot Hotel

Originally from near Hexham in Northumberland, Dan's career has taken him the length and breadth of the country. His journey included training at Roux restaurants in London and subsequently working for Michel Roux jnr Le Gavroche where, he says, he was transformed from being a good chef to a great chef.  

A finalist and runner-up in the BBC Master Chef: The Professionals competition, Dan will surely shine at the Talbot Hotel where his baptism of fire was cooking a special Malton Food Lovers Festival dinner for legends Prue Leith, Valentine Warner and restaurant critic William Sitwell. 

Dan's new menu for The Talbot's Wentworth Restaurant offers a taste of modern British cooking making full use of the many independent food producers nearby and the Talbot's own garden. Dan is also overseeing the hotel's Malton Brasserie.
