Pop-up Dinner - St Patrick meets Yorkshire
With St Patrick's Day falling at the weekend, what other excuse is needed to celebrate Yorkshire's amazing larder and the food heritage of Ireland? We think that's a pretty good reason so, come enjoy, Yorkshire meets Ireland in the first Kitchen Social with a focus across the water to Ireland.
As is always the case Sue Nelson, Yorkshire Food Hero 2016 and founder of Yorkshire Food Finder, her scouts will be out-and-about collecting the best the season has to offer - perhaps the first wild garlic of the season. These great Yorkshire ingredients and the dishes they enable will all be served in a style reminiscent of the Emerald Isle.
The one exception to the Irish theme is our signature Yorkshire cheese board. We will be including cheeses from the Botton and Shepherds Purse creameries which have achieved a gold medal at the World Cheese Awards 2017 among others from God'd own county.
If you are the first to book on this date and book six or more spaces you will have exclusive use of the table for the evening. Otherwise, for group bookings of six or more, call us on 01904 448439 to choose another date
We are located in Wheldrake, just nine miles from York
Our guests usually arrive from noon for 12.30pm when canapés are served, with the main event starting at 8.00pm. If booking a taxi for your return we suggest 3.30pm; but we don’t mind if you linger longer.
Access to our venue is via two steps and is then level throughout.
While we cater for known allergens, we do use many of them in our kitchen. We like to know of allergens and other dietary requirements seven days before the date of your meal with us.
