But now, the Yorkshire Wagyu Company's Wagyu beef is available to discerning Yorkshire consumers, retailers and chefs. Don't just think marbled Wagyu steaks as all other beef cuts are available too.
Jonathan and Juli Shepherd’s farm near Tibthorpe in the Yorkshire Wolds is home to a pure-bred Wagyu bull and a growing herd of pure-and cross-bred cattle. Slow growing Wagyu provides the customer with premium beef reared on grass whenever possible. Every beast has a genetic DNA passport which when taken together assure the integrity of the herd from which Yorkshire Wagyu beef is sourced.
In the 2016 Great Taste Awards, Yorkshire Wagyu's mince and onion pie scooped two stars.
