Producers - Yummy Yorkshire
Delph House Farm, home to Yummy Yorkshire ice cream, is a third generation farming enterprise which is home to a 150 strong herd of Freisian-Holstein cows. While Yummy Yorksire ice cream is a great reason to visit, Delph House Farm also supplies great British milk that so many take for granted when doing the weekly shop.
Run by father and son Philip and Jeremy Holmes, Delph House Farm has collected a string of awards with more following since the introduction of Yummy Yorkshire ice cream in 2007. This side of the enterpising Holmes family farmng business is ren by Jeremy and his wife Louise who are clearly passionate about ice cream. Using Yorkshire ingredients where possible, Yummy Yorkshire ice cream is renowned for its range of delicious innovative flavours. Since setting out on the ice cream trail, Yummy Yorkshire has created more than fifty flvours for sale to the public as well as a range of bespoke flavours for special occasions, a particular event or the requirements of an individual restaurant.
As the ice cream business has developed so has the ice cream parlour and coffee shop that, of course, feature all of Yummy Yorkshire's current flavours. Choosing may be difficult when faced with the need to select just one or two flavours from vanilla, strawberry, caramel fudge, chocolate, banoffee pie, marmalade cheesecake, midnight mint, liquorice, honey and ginger, Lizzie's Eton mess, cookies n' cream, blueberry and thats just a core selection! You can also try flavours that at first reading make you think, are they serious? Yes, and the likes of sea buckthorn and black garlic and chocolate are favourites of Yorkshire Food Finder because their taste is just spot-on!
