Food Trail - Not the Valentine's Day dinner! - A Kitchen Social event -
As Valentine's Day approaches do roses make you see red? Do violets make you feel blue?
Are you fed up with hearing about romantic dinners for two where creating the ambiance to gaze into each other's eyes seems more important than the food on the plate?
D'you want to get away from the food of love where oysters, scallops, fillet steak and heart-shaped moussesare a triumph of hype over quality?
If so, then come and tuck into our Not-the Valentine's dinner near York where the focus will be quality Yorkshire food packed with flavour enjoyed in an atmosphere of fun and friendship.
We will celebrate the best produce God's own county has to offer with a pop-up dinner created by our Flat Cap Cook Sue Nelson, where the accent is on sharing while enjoying good company.
You might be a couple very much in love but don't need Valentine's Day to have a good time. Or you could be a bunch of friends who are looking for more than a table for two.
Whatever your style, we can give you a fantastically informal great night out around the Yorkshire Food Finder table with like minded people who want the best in locally sourced food while having a whale of a time.
On offer is a five course feast for just £40 a head. You'll kick off with morsel sized filled Yorkshire puds to get the taste buds going, followed by a show-stopping twist on a BLT for your starter - the like of which you may never have seen before.
Centre stage of the main course will be a sharing platter of 24-hour slow roasted shoulder of Yorkshire reared pork with suitable seasonal accompaniments, followed by a desert paying homage to bang-in-season Yorkshire forced rhubard.
To round off, we'll be offering a Yorkshire cheeseboard featuring some of the best best cheeses being made in the county today.
All you need to do is bring your own booze and turn up on time!
